Summary

The Web Developer is charged with turning website designs into finished websites complete with all needed programming (including HTML5, JQuery, Javascript, CSS and PHP as needed). Most of the work will be completed in WordPress CMS, but the developer should be experienced in a variety of CMS’s. As an integral member of our team, this individual will work closely with the Graphic Designers to ensure that projects meet requirements, launch on time and take advantage of appropriate technology. The Web Developer may also assist in advancing our development of social media initiatives and taking advantage of technology available from social networks and other tools available. Programming, content integration and database administration are all elements that this position will be responsible for.

THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION

Responsibilities

  • Creating custom website solutions from scratch
• Must be able to develop themes based around Html5 Boilerplate & BootStrap
  • Must have extensive experience with Html5, CSS3, SASS, LESS, jQuery, Javascript
  • Extensive experience with Advanced Custom Fields (creative solutions/front end profile updating (bbpress/buddy Press) )
  • Extensive experience with Gravity Forms (using custom hooks, user registration)
  • Extensive experience with WooCommerce (custom templates, Advanced Custom Fields, API integration of 3rd party ecommerce solutions such as HubSoft with WooCommerce )
  • 3-5 years PHP experience minimum (wordpress/magento/other misc CMS platform)
  • Build websites using responsive programming so that they can be optimally viewed on a variety of devices and browsers
  • Determine appropriate architecture, and other technical solutions, and make relevant recommendations to Creative Director
  • 
Communicate to the Account Manager & Creative Director with efficiency and accuracy any progress and/or delays
  • 
Engage in outside-the-box thinking to provide high value-of-service to clients
  • Alert colleagues to emerging technologies or applications and the opportunities to integrate them into operations and activities
  • Make changes to websites based on client feedback and needs of the business
  • Assisting in the training of clients in the use of the content management system
  • 
Utilize Basecamp project management system to communicate with internal and external clients and to ensure tasks and milestones are completed on time

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred Minimum 4 Years of experience in website development
• Proven track record for producing highly useable and innovative WordPress sites.
  • Responsive website design, Facebook apps & tab development is a plus
  • Adobe Creative Suite expertise
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with constant deadlines and maintaining a positive attitude
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Experience in cross browser compatibility ( IE 7 + )
